Professional Teeth Whitening Options

Every person wants a brighter and whiter smile. There are many ways to brighten a smile. Professional teeth whitening is a very popular cosmetic dental procedure. It makes use of a high concentration of bleaching gel which is monitored carefully and allows safe and pain-free to whiten the teeth. It gives faster and better results as compared to in-home whitening procedures. There are many brand-names whitening systems used by the dentist.

Brite Smile

This procedure is known for its easy access and gentleness. It makes use of hydrogen peroxide gels of 15% and 25% concentration that balances for maximum efficacy. It contains glycerin and water that helps in reducing the tooth dehydration. The gels are applied to the teeth for three 20-minutes intervals. After every application, a blue lighting system is used to illuminate the teeth that reach all the esthetic areas of the teeth at the same time.

Zoom

It is a widely used procedure and makes use of 25% hydrogen peroxide gel. It is applied three times for a 15-minutes interval. Advanced Power Chairside lamp is used to accelerate the bleaching process. When the procedure is over, a fluoride paste is applied to the teeth that help in reducing the sensitivity. For home use, custom-fitted whitening trays are provided to the patient so as to maintain the whitened teeth.

Opalescence Boost

The bleaching gel that is used is sticky and has a high viscosity. It relies on the chemistry for achieving the results and does not need a special light activator. In this, 38% hydrogen peroxide gel is used for the whitening procedure that contains a component called PF, a mix of potassium nitrate, and fluoride. Potassium nitrate helps in reducing sensitivity and fluoride acts as an enamel-strengthener that reduces the risk of the cavity.

Deep Bleaching

It is a multi-phase protocol that involves a reversal of the usual chairside bleaching followed by home bleaching. By this technique, the most intransigent stains can also be removed and helps in maintaining the whitened teeth for a long time. The dentist takes a detailed impression of the teeth and the gumline. The vinyl trays containing bleaching-gel reservoirs are customized. This process needs multiple visits to the dentist but is found to be a very effective and permanent whitening procedure if patients follow all the instructions properly.
There are many professional instant teeth whitening treatment options available and are more effective as compared to home bleaching techniques. It might be a little costly but is worth spending as the end result is a beautiful and whiter smile.
